Wide Open Bluegrass - Raleigh NC


The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) announces its 30 Official Showcase Artists for the Bluegrass Ramble, the IBMA’s showcase series which will take place at select venues throughout downtown Raleigh, North Carolina during IBMA’s World of Bluegrass 2017 event, September 26-30.
 
The following artists were selected by the IBMA Showcase Selection Committee as Bluegrass Ramble Showcase artists: Jonathan Byrd, Cane Mill Road, Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer, Cup O’Joe, Deer Creek Boys, Flats and Sharps, Fireside Collective, Forlorn Strangers, FY5, Caroline Gallagher, Sam Gleaves, Hank, Pattie & The Current, High Fidelity, Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome, The Lonely Heartstring Band, Mile Twelve, Molsky’s Mountain Drifters, Mr. Sun, NewTown, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, The Price Sisters, Quiles & Cloud, The Railsplitters, Richie and Rosie, Salt and Light the Moore Family Band, The Savage Hearts, Sheriff Scott and the Deputies, The Slocan Ramblers, The Small Glories, and Travers Chandler and Avery County.
 
These artists were selected from over 160 submissions from all over the world, with the goal of presenting the broad spectrum of styles, regions and personalities who represent bluegrass today. Each act will perform at least two times over the course of the three-night Bluegrass Ramble event, at one of five downtown Raleigh clubs plus the Raleigh Convention Center, giving industry and music fans multiple opportunities to hear as much music as possible.
 
Access to Bluegrass Ramble shows are complimentary with an IBMA Business Conference registration. Fans not attending the conference may purchase a full access wristband to all Ramble venues for $75.00 or a single-day wristband for $30.00 via ibma.org.  Members of the IBMA receive a discount on regular registration fees.
